Last week, we learned about the season of spring. We knew that spring comes in like a lion and out like a lamb. So, on Friday, our science experiment and funky food all had to do with the wind and spring. We read Aesop's Fable called The Sun and The Wind and then started our first experiment.
First we predicted how wind (fan) would effect different objects.
Kason let foil go in the wind to see what would happen. Most of us thought it would blow away but not as far as the paper we tried first cause it was heavier.
Then we had hoopsters which are a type of flier. So we had to go outside in the wind to fly them. I told everyone to stand in a line and pretend to throw their hoopster at me.
Ready, aim...
FIRE! Now, off to play with their hoopsters!

Then we came inside so we could do our Funky Food Activity...Muddy Boots. Thanks to Nathaniel's family for providing the ingredients for the food activity.
