Our color this week was purple, so what better than making purple volcanoes for our science experiment!

We started out with a vase half full of 100% grape juice.
Add vinegar. |

| Then a little baking soda. Wow! It started to come out. |
 |
| We continued adding vinegar and baking powder and watched what happened. |
 |
Then we talked about why this happens.
baking soda + vinegar = chemical reaction
