March Madness and Eggs

Hmm? I wonder how many books will it take to squish that egg?
Maybe 2 or 5? Surely not more than 10!

First we had to add an extra pan on top to have a place to place the books on. The egg is sitting in playdough so it won't fall over during the experiment.

Then one by one we added books on top of the egg.

And more books...

Man, that is a lot of books. The egg looks like it has sunk into the playdough a little.

Well, it finally took a lot of books to squish the egg. We thought it was totally cool!
